You can check to see if you already have the .NET Framework 1.1 installed by clicking Start on your Windows desktop, selecting Control Panel, and then double-clicking the Add or Remove Programs icon. When that window appears, scroll through the list of applications. If you see Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 listed, the latest version is already installed and you do not need to install it again.

Note: Non-developers need to install the .NET Framework 1.1 to run applications developed using the .NET Framework 1.1.

In most cases, the creator of an application will alert you if you need to install the .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable to run the application. However, with the number of .NET Framework-connected applications on the market growing rapidly, we encourage you to install the latest version of the .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable if you haven't already.

In .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable Package sono disponibili tutti gli strumenti necessari per eseguire le applicazioni sviluppate tramite .NET Framework.

.NET Framework 1.1 offre scalabilità e prestazioni migliori, supporto per lo sviluppo di applicazioni per dispositivi mobili grazie ai controlli mobili ASP.NET (noti in precedenza come Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit), supporto per Internet Protocol versione 6 e classi ADO.NET per la comunicazione nativa con ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) e database Oracle. Consente inoltre di utilizzare la protezione dall'accesso di codice per bloccare e isolare ulteriormente le applicazioni ASP.NET.


L'obiettivo principale di Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1) è il miglioramento della protezione. Nel service pack sono state inoltre implementate le soluzioni ai problemi che i clienti avevano segnalato dopo il rilascio di Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. In particolare, il Service Pack 1 offre un supporto migliore per l'utilizzo dei documenti WSDL, la prevenzione dell'esecuzione dei dati e la protezione da problemi che possono minare la sicurezza, quali i sovraccarichi del buffer.

A molti non si installa?

a me no

Cmq si installa facendo gli aggiornamenti di Windows Update io ce l ho installato ma nn mi serve

Rilasciato il .Net Compact Framework 2.0

A differenza che in Windows Mobile 2003, dove il .NET Conpact Framework era incluso in ROM, per il nuvo .NET Compact Framework 2.0 è necessaria l'installazione manuale. Microsoft ha rilasciato la versione finale del framework per l'esecuzione delle applicazioni sviluppate .NET, disponibile gratuitamente.

Per l'installazione è necessario utilizzare ActiveSync 4.0, ma è perfettamente compatibile con Windows Mobile 2003, 2003 Second Edition e con il nuovo Windows Mobile 5. Il nuovo .NET Compact Framework 2.0 apporta un cospicuo numero di miglioramenti e include tutto il necessario per l'esecuzione di applicazioni realizzate in .NET Compact Framework 1 e 2, oltre che in Common Language Runtime e .NET e con Compact Framework class library.
